INGRESS

Creating a welcoming and friendly environment is an important aspect of providing a positive experience for attendees at any event. To ensure that all attendees are greeted by an approachable and pleasant security team, we insist our employees;

  • Customer Service Focused: Provide a level of customer service that enhances their interpersonal skills and ability to interact with attendees in a friendly and professional manner. Considerations include effective communication, conflict resolution, and maintaining a helpful and approachable demeanour.
  • Positive Body Language: We instruct security personnel to adopt positive body language, such as smiling, maintaining eye contact, and using open gestures. These non-verbal cues can help create a welcoming atmosphere and establish a friendly rapport with attendees.
  • Clear Identification: Ensure that security personnel are easily identifiable by wearing distinctive uniforms, badges, or name tags. This not only helps attendees easily identify security personnel but also promotes transparency and trust.
  • Proactive Engagement: Encourage security personnel to proactively engage with attendees in a friendly and helpful manner. This can include answering questions, providing directions, or assisting with any concerns attendees may have.
  • Polite and Respectful Communication: Emphasise the importance of using polite and respectful language when interacting with attendees. Security personnel should be trained to handle inquiries, complaints, or requests in a patient and courteous manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Knowledgeable about the Event: Ensure that security personnel are well-informed about the event, its schedule, layout, and any specific information that attendees may require. This enables them to provide accurate and helpful assistance to attendees.
  • Personalised Approach: Encourage security personnel to acknowledge attendees individually and personalise their interactions when appropriate. Greeting attendees by name (if known) or asking about their experience can make them feel valued and enhance their overall satisfaction.
  • Accessibility and Approachability: Designate specific areas or stations where attendees can approach security personnel for assistance, information, or to report any concerns. Clearly mark these locations and communicate their purpose to attendees.
  • Continuous Feedback and Training: Regularly gather feedback from attendees regarding their interactions with security personnel. Use this feedback to identify areas for improvement and provide additional training or guidance to the security team.

By implementing these measures, we hope to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that all attendees feel comfortable and confident in approaching the security team for any assistance they may need. This approach not only enhances the overall experience but also contributes to the safety and security of the event.

In the unlikely event that someone arrives incapacitated, they will be relocated to the welfare area, where they will be safely monitored until their condition improves.

All bags will be inspected, and all minors have to accompany with an adult. Children who are unaccompanied will be taken to the welfare office, where they will be monitored safely until a responsible adult assumes guardianship.
