ON SITE ORIENTATION

Orientation on-site, Practical Training, and Regular Briefings:

Introductory site-specific and practical instruction are essential components of security training to ensure that security personnel are conversant with the physical environment and possess the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. Briefings will also play an important role in the site-specific training and growth of all personnel.

Here are the essential components of on-site orientation and practical instruction:

On-Site Orientation:

  • All employees must undergo a comprehensive on-site orientation to become familiar with the physical layout of the premises, including entrances, exits, key areas, and restricted areas.
  • A supervisor must provide information regarding emergency exits, evacuation routes, and assembly points.
  • All security personnel, including venue managers, supervisors, and other pertinent personnel, will be introduced to key personnel.

Access Control Training:

  • Training will be provided on access control procedures, including the use of access control systems, verification of identification documents, and enforcement of entry and exit protocols.
  • Where applicable, you will be provided with specific instructions on how to manage various scenarios, such as interacting with unauthorised individuals, managing deliveries, and processing visitor access.

Training in Patrolling and Monitoring:

  • Training will be provided on effective patrolling techniques and routes, as well as the significance of regular and systematic patrols of designated areas.
  • During their patrols, all security personnel will be trained to recognise and report any suspicious activities, security violations, or safety hazards.
  • Precise and comprehensive reporting of observations and incidents is essential for all venue security.

Incident Response Training:

  • We will provide training on how to respond to a variety of incidents, including emergencies, disturbances, and security intrusions.
  • We will practise a variety of response scenarios, including evacuations, lockdowns, and medical emergency assistance.
  • We will train security personnel on how to communicate effectively with emergency services, coordinate with other staff members, and document incidents.

During the on-site orientation and practical training, supervisors and experienced security personnel will be available to guide, answer questions, and provide feedback to new security personnel. Regular evaluations and continuous training are used to enhance skills and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

By providing thorough on-site orientation and hands-on training, security personnel will be well-equipped to navigate the physical environment, carry out their duties effectively, and respond appropriately to a variety of incidents and emergencies that may occur on the premises.
